SPIRAL CLASSIFIER / SCREW CLASSIFIER
DOVE Spiral Classifier, also referred to as Screw Classifier, or Spiral Mineral Separator, is highly efficient classifier designed for closed circuit wet classification and separation of the Slimes (Fines) from a sandy sized (Coarse) material. It is well suited for classification, where a two product size-split is required. Due to inherent operational qualities, DOVE Spiral Classifier is ideally suited for Sizing applications, Washing Applications, and Dewatering sand or crushed material from Hydro cyclone, or lower screen residues.

FEATURES:
- DOVE Spiral Classifiers are supplied in two main types of High Weir (H), and Submerged Spiral (S). The High Weir spiral component is partially projecting above water line and it is designed for classifying coarse feed application. The Submerged Spiral component is completely submerged bellow the water level, and it is designed for classifying fine sand feeds.
- DOVE supplies both the High Weir (H) type, and the Submerged Spiral (S) type, with either single Spiral drive, or dual spiral drive classifier.
- DOVE Screw Classifiers are supplied in various configuration, either with Single pitch, Double, or in some special applications with Triple pitch mechanism. The Screws are fixed with renewable wear resisting relics made of Ni-hard steel, or anti-abrasion rubber for durability, long life and low maintenance.

- DOVE Spiral Classifiers are designed with special totally enclosed submerged bearing at the spiral real shaft end, providing efficient operation with low maintenance.
- DOVE classifier is designed with special curved false bottom plate, to achieve absolute minimum clearance between the screw and the tub, therefore reduce slippage and maintain the highest tonnage capacity per unit.
- Simple and rugged structure design, easy to operate, reliable and continuous operation and low maintenance costs.

- Heavy media separators for upgrading purpose, Dewatering, Desliming, Washing, and Classifying, in Iron Ore mining and Coal Beneficiation.
- Closed Circuit grinding mills and classifying cyclone underflow in Gold ore, Tin ore, Tantalite ore, Copper ore, Wolframite ore, Molybdenum ore, etc.
- Washing, desliming, dewatering of Silica sand, and Sand and Gravel operations.

DOVE Coarse and Fine Spiral Classifiers are supplied in various capacities, tub lengths, screw sizes and technical specifications. We supply total of 15 models, where 10 models are configured with single screw and 5 models with dual screw.

OPERATING PRINCIPLES:
Spiral Screw classifier is a type of common mechanical classifier, consists primarily of an inclined tub and a transport screw for the coarse material. The fine material residue is at the lower end of the tub and the coarse material residue is at the upper end.
The principle of the operation and separation of solid grains is based on the law of gravity and concept that the solid particles are different in size and specific gravity, therefore the settling speed in the water is different. Fine ore particles float in the water and overflow, and respectively coarse ore particles settles to the bottom. As a guide line, a unit with longer length classifier will dewater the same material to a higher degree, and likewise a unit with a greater diameter of screw revolving the identical speed will produce higher capacity. In the application of dewatering fine material, the screw speed is reduced to allow proper classification and dewatering.
